Ski Lodge Birthday Party

Smith's Ski Lodge Invite

My little guy has a January birthday…you know…the cold, anti-climatic, post-Christmas kind of birthday.  Every year, I really try and get creative to make his birthday special.  We’ve all just opened gifts, we’ve all had way too much sugar and we’re all kind of tired of partying in January, but my sweet boy needs a special day…and this Ski Lodge Party was just that!

I also love that this party could work for boys or girls and any age too.  It’s fun, it’s seasonal, it’s pretty simple and it’s totally January!

Snowman

My friend built me this paper mache snowman for the occasion. I now use it as a Christmas decoration each year!

Snow Flakes

I cut out dozens of snowflakes and hung them in the entry so that it “snowed” on people as they came in.

Hot Cocoa Food Tag

My guests loved our Hot Cocoa Bar!

Hot Cocoa Toppings

Fun cocoa toppings!

White Winter Punch

White Winter Punch was perfect for the little ones too!  It’s just coconut sherbet with Sprite on top!

Table Decor

I decorated the table in twinkle lights and votive candles.  It gave everything that snowy look of a ski lodge.  Click here for the yummy fruit salsa recipe.

Moose Munch

Every ski lodge needs Moose Munch

Snow Balls

… and snow balls.

Party Favors

And for party favors?  Hot Chocolate and Hot Chocolate Candles. My adult guests loved leaving a kid party with a little something extra for them!

Cozy, winter, warm, fun…the perfect January birthday party.

    Awesome!!

I just threw a “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” baby shower for my BFF last weekend. I wracked my brain trying to think of a good January theme as well. Great minds!
